Nixon is well and truly a native of the ‘Gong, having been born and raised in Wollongong and attending St Therese Catholic Parish Primary School and Edmund Rice College in his early years of schooling.
Nixon was admitted as a Solicitor into the Supreme Court of NSW in December 2002 and is admitted to the High Court Roll. With a degree in both Commerce and Law from the University of Wollongong, Nixon has knowledge and experience from both legal and financial roles with some of Sydney and Wollongong’s major firms and government organisations, including having provided legal services for the NSW State Government at the Crown Solicitors Office.
As the principal lawyer at Hanna Lawyers, Nixon has over two decades experience in the law. He can assist you with all of your property needs and has extensive experience in family law, succession law, criminal law and civil litigation.
Nixon believes in working hard to bring disputes to an early and appropriate resolution for his clients without compromising his clients entitlements.
In his spare time Nixon loves to play and watch all types of sports. Despite having had two major surgeries from football related injuries, his love for playing the sport has not waned, much to his wife’s dismay!

Deana was admitted as a Solicitor into the Supreme Court of NSW in 2004 after completing her Bachelor of Law at the University of Technology, Sydney. She has previously been employed by large and medium tier government and private firms in both Sydney and Wollongong, having started her career first working as a Barristers clerk before moving to the Crown Solicitors Office.
Deana has been working with Hanna Lawyers since 2009. Deana has extensive experience in various areas of law including family law, traffic law, victims compensation, succession law (wills and estates), criminal law, debt recovery and civil litigation, but predominately practices in the area of compensation and family law.
Deana is also a qualified trainer and assessor and has taught legal studies and business at various colleges.
In addition, she has also been the Project Officer for the Illawarra and Southern Highlands Family Law Pathways Network since 2010, a government funded initiative that works towards the collaboration of family law service providers through information sharing and cross sector training in the Illawarra and Southern Highlands Region, with the view to improving access to services for families.
Outside of work, Deana has two young daughters who keep her busy. In her spare time she loves to cook, although she is the first to admit that desserts are not her strength! Sadly, she suffers from an (unhealthy) addiction to watching reality television… all interventions to date have failed.

Cassandra was admitted as a Solicitor in the Supreme Court of NSW in 2018 after completing her Bachelor of Arts/Law at the University of Wollongong, and shortly thereafter was admitted to the High Court Roll. She has previously been employed by medium tier private firms in Sydney working predominantly in family law. Born and raised in Wollongong, Cassandra now welcomes the opportunity to assist her local community with their legal issues and requirements.
Cassandra joined Hanna Lawyers in July 2020 and has quickly become an integral part of the team practising in family, criminal, and property law. Cassandra has a keen interest in complex family law matters which require a investigative approach and is a strong advocate for resolving matters without court intervention (where appropriate).
When not in the office, Cassandra can be found spending time with her family and friends or taking her Alaskan Malamute, Samson, for a walk along the beach. As an avid MasterChef watcher, Cassandra also enjoys getting into the kitchen and replicating the creations made by the contestants.

Senior Legal Administrative Assistant
Hollie joins Hanna Lawyers with over 15 years legal administrative and finance experience, having commenced employment with the practice in mid 2016.
While engaging in various areas of law including succession law and family law, Hollie predominately practices in the area of property law, helping to manage sale and purchase of property transactions from commencement to completion under the direct supervision and guidance of Nixon Hanna. Hollie enjoys assisting our clients with their property needs and may be the first point of contact for your property enquiries
In her spare time, Hollie loves to spend time with family and friends, especially her many newphews and neice. If there were an award for it, we think she would be crowned “The Best Aunty Ever!”. Although Hollie has a soft side and loves spending time wondering around an art gallery and appreciating beautiful art, she doesn’t mind getting a bit rough and will join her husband (and their group of car enthusiasts) on drives to Sydney and to motor shows all over New South Wales.
